Bobby Jindal is a Dunce

Governor Bobby Jindal presented the Republican rebuttal to President Obama’s speech last night. The thing that struck me the most with Jindal’s response was it felt like he was talking down to the listeners.
I tried to read his transcript at the official site, but it appears the link is broken, thus cementing the dunce cap on his head. So here it is. Thanks CNN
Should he really speak about health care, when Louisiana is the least healthy state in the country?
One in five Louisianians lacked health insurance, while 31 percent were obese. It also suffers from high child poverty, infant mortality, premature death rate and cancer deaths, according to the report.

Dunce of the week award winner
Bobby Jindal had this to say about health care- emphasis mine
“To strengthen our economy, we also need to address the crisis in health care. Republicans believe in a simple principle: No American should have to worry about losing their health coverage — period. We stand for universal access to affordable health care coverage. What we oppose is universal government-run health care. Health care decisions should be made by doctors and patients, not by government bureaucrats. We believe Americans can do anything, and if we put aside partisan politics and work together, we can make our system of private medicine affordable and accessible for every one of our citizens.“
Basically, the Republicans are offering to reduce prices? What we want is Health Care for All, period. Like Canada or Europe. Americans deserve that right.
On Education: Louisiana is 44th.
To strengthen our economy, we also need to make sure every child in America gets the best possible education. After Katrina, we reinvented the New Orleans school system, opening dozens of new charter schools, and creating a new scholarship program that is giving parents the chance to send their children to private or parochial schools of their choice. We believe that, with the proper education, the children of America can do anything. And it shouldn’t take a devastating storm to bring this kind of innovation to education in our country.
So he is actually suggesting taxpayers pay churches to “educate” children. That is the last thing I want to pay for as a taxpayer. Subsidized child molestation is not a good platform these days, Dunce.
I’m sure there is more, but I can only take so much of it. What do you think?
