The Second Annual IIG Awards at CFI West

Rose and I had the opportunity to attend The 2nd Annual IIG Awards, which recognizes the best and worst in TV and movies at promoting scientific and critical thinking. James “The Amazing” Randi was also inducted into the hall of honor.
Keep in mind, I am rarely star struck, but James Randi truly lived up to the title “The Amazing”. I remember watching him on the television, performing tricks and debunking psychics. He is still full of energy and very, very entertaining.
Randi performed the rope tricks he made famous on the Tonight Show, with Johnny Carson. On this occasion, I had the honor of assisting the legendary magician and skeptic. The video proof below was captured by Rose, with my new point and shoot camera.
I was excited to meet Tory “Magoo”. She’s a former top $cientologist, who left, and now speaks out against them. She was a true delight and has a great story.
We are Legion. Expect Us!
